Shift Manager, a software program from Macis, which allows driver agencies and haulage companies to computerise their administration systems, has added a SMS Text ‘bolt on’ that automates handling of SMS text messages both in and out of the system. It allows users to offer shifts to the driver by text and to record and document acceptances within the system. If a driver fails to respond to a shift offer, the system will alarm to remind the operator a shift has not been accepted.
